Hi, I'm Nick Miller, Thanks for visiting my site and spending the time to read this.
I expect you’re here because you are looking at improving your lifestyle and for pointers to help you on your way, not to hear all about my life story.
Well, I'll try not to bore you with the minutia of my life but will share the bits that may resonate with you and hopefully help you see that you are not alone.
I am just the wrong side of 60, married with 2 children who are now young adults with lives of their own.
I have had a long career in IT, an engineer at heart with a curiosity for how things work.
As a child I was always taking things apart and putting them back together sometimes with a screw left over!
As an only child, I was shy and a little introverted and was not allowed to express my opinions due to my mother’s belief that children should be seen and not heard.
This of course left me with some limiting beliefs about myself, so I decided to work on them and embarked on my personal development journey. I have found that this is not a journey that has a defined end but is a continuous process of self-discovery.
As part of this process, in my mid 50's I realised that there was a strong possibility that whatever pension / savings I had may not be enough to continue the lifestyle I had become accustomed to.
I looked for ways of generating a second income and tried various things like Network marketing or MLM as its also known, Selling and fitting window blinds, Forex trading and property investing.
All of which gave me varying degrees of success but not the fortunes I was expecting. The reason was simple, I was looking for a “get rich quick” solution and the truth is there is no such thing.
Jumping from one to the other without giving any of them enough time and commitment is known as “Shiny object syndrome” and that was exactly what I was doing.
Then one day I was looking at you tube when an advert popped up with a nice guy explaining how he had joined an online community of like-minded people with training on how to start an online business.
The free on demand workshops he sent me were very informative and gave a good overview of what the company had to offer so I joined the community and have not looked back.
Ok, I am not making a fortune yet, but the key is I am learning and making progress every day and giving it the time it deserves. (I’m not making that mistake again!)
You may think that as I have an IT background that things like setting up this website came easily to me, well not so. My day job had nothing to do with that, the training I have been through gave me the skills to make it happen.
My goal in life now is to help others who want to embark on their own personal development journey, so I will share the resources that have helped me along the way on this site over the coming months.
Stay safe and thanks for visiting.
Nick
